Wondering what to wear once the weather warms?

NAJO’s creative team spotted three key looks from both the catwalk and the street style at the international fashion shows for SS19 that we could really get on board with. They just so happen to work in perfectly with pieces from our latest collection, Paloma.

Beige

 Look 1: Beige

There’s certainly nothing boring about this incarnation of beige. Neutrals are enlivened via animal prints, or there’s the shameless head-to-toe take on the colour in the form of the must-have boilersuit. A look that was once purely functional is now utterly chic, drawing from its working-class roots in hardwearing materials such as twill, denim and linen.

At Burberry, the natural shade was perhaps unsurprisingly seen in that always-perfect transeasonal coat – the trench – as well as all the clothes made to be worn underneath. Tom Ford also embraced the tonal look but with a flirty and seductive edge through layers of chantilly lace, body-hugging jersey and ruching.

If head-to-toe beige equals timeless chic and ultimate sophistication, its jewellery equivalent are those clean, minimalist designs that ooze ‘future classics’. Think NAJO’s seamless Divina Bangle, the simple Doble Cuff, the graphic Corsica Stud Earrings, and the peerless Redeem Necklace.

Colour Blast

Look 2: Colour Blast

In complete contrast to our first trend (that’s fashion for you!), add joy to your seasonal wardrobe with vibrant colour and brilliant pattern.

Vivid tartan and patterned patchwork looks were big on the street fashion circuit at the international fashion shows for SS19, and it’s been filtering through the high street ever since.

Colour was positively riotous at MSGM, in blocks and prints and florals and tie-dyes.

If you’re keen to inject colour into your own wardrobe but a little hesitant to invest in the trend-heavy prints, why not start with our Ramona Rose Quartz Earring in 18-carat rose-gold plated sterling silver? Or elevate the plainest white T with the Marine Garden Chalcedony Necklace in either pink or Aqua.

Better yet, bust out your own rainbow across those digits when you stack on the Antonia Ring in Aquamarine and delicate pink Morganite along with the sea-like allure of the Envy Green Amethyst Ring.

ArtisanalLook 3: Artisanal

A heady dose of artisanal embellishment and craftsmanship was seen at Etro for SS19, including patchworked denims layered with elaborate knits, quilted coats and embroidered silks. Intricate, exquisite details abounded, as it does in our showstopping Majestica necklace, matching bracelet and Majestica wide bracelet. The artisanal pinnacle of the Paloma collection, this set, with its rows of reticulated squares, epitomises the premium silversmithing that’s at the heart of the NAJO brand.

The luxurious embroidery and beadwork seen at Etro is reminiscent of the oxidised silver and beadwork in our new Natalia Cuff.

For minimalists, the artisanal trend can be embraced sans embellishment through the exquisite craftsmanship of our Eddy Hoop. It’s a unique and decorative twist on the classic hoop that’s still so subtle and refined.
